Change Crash Investigators

What is it all about…..

Change Crash InvestigatorsTM (CCI) are like Air Crash Investigators, listening to those black box recordings to find out what went wrong so others can learn from those lessons.

In this series of podcasts (or vodcasts if you prefer video), Christina Morgan-Meldrum (from Incahoots) and Jenn Zuber (from Axiology Group) deep dive into change crashes (or near crashes) - those change initiatives that have gone wrong or are about to go wrong. We bring our ~60 years of combined experience to discuss how to right the course and ensure your change doesn't become the next change crash.

Being sure to protect identities of individuals and companies, this is definitely an informative and super-fun way to learn.

Why?

So we can learn from them - the best lessons are the ones that have not gone to plan!

To make change better - because that's why we are here. To help you, help yourself.

It's fun! We definitely like to have a good laugh all in the interest of learning.

How can you get involved?

We want your change crashes (or near crashes) to investigate. Drop Jenn an email if you have an idea or a specific change you'd like CCI to deep dive into and investigate.

What to know more?

Watch the intro. And count how many times Jenn says learn, learning or lessons!!

S1E1: Core Systems

In their first episode of Change Crash Investigators, Christina and Jenn dive into all things “core systems” replacement and implementation. From ERPs (enterprise resource planning systems), CRMs (customer relationship management systems) and everything in between, join our Change Crash Investigators as they dive into common mistakes and pitfalls on these important core systems for organisations. Key takeaway – you won’t be the first to embark on one of these major programs. Learn the lessons of those that have gone before you. Back to the future? Maybe, but this time with lessons learnt!

S1E2: Resistance - Really?

Our Change Crash Investigators, Christina and Jenn, are at it again. This time exploring resistance…or is it really??? Hmm, find out more about what drives human reactions to change and why reframing resistance can make a huge difference not only to your mindset, but also the success of your change program. Key takeaway – Embrace the “snarcastics” – they’re asking questions because they care!

S1E3: Organisation Design and Operating Model Change

Which comes first the OM or the OD? Join our Change Crash Investigators, Christina and Jenn, discussing all things operating model and organisation design, including key lessons learnt from op models that have gone horribly bad, as well as ones that have gone quite well all things considered. Learn how you can apply neuroscience principles to frame your OM/OD changes and manage wellbeing and engagement of those impacted by the changes. Key takeaways – Op Model and Org Design are different. The names in the boxes come last. You can still co-design after the secret is out. And, there are humans at the end of that model!
